Our Instructors

Anthony Peña, Founder & Director

Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Music Theory, Music Production

Anthony is a classically trained violinist with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from San Francisco State University. During his professional career, he has performed with classical orchestras, chamber orchestra ensembles, jazz bands, Latin jazz groups, rock bands, and DJs. This experience, along with mentorship from world-renowned violin professors, serves as the foundation for his eclectic knowledge of music. His passion for pushing boundaries of sound has taken him from Thailand’s crystal blue waters to rustic venues in Mexico City and soulful funk spaces in Oakland, California. As the first Violin DJ at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto and The Westin Hotel in San Francisco, Anthony’s unconventional talent blends improvised violin performances with electronic beats, leaving a vibrant energy in any venue. Anthony combines eclectic music styles and teaching to inspire as a Violin DJ, blending live performances with electronic beats. With 10 years of teaching experience, strives to share his enthusiasm, passion, and unique musical expertise to inspire the next generation of musicians at NuWav.
